European climate initiative and high-level event on climate policy took place in Berlin, Germany on 22.02.2018. The Bulgarian deputy-minister of environment Atanska Nikolova and representatives of the German ministry of environment were among the participants. SOFENA is a partner in the project “Municipal Energy Management” developed under the initiative.
The kick-off meeting of a new project “Municipal Energy Management” was held on 19.02 and 20.02.2018 in Hameln, Germany. KAW, SOFENA, EnergaP and KREA, respectively from Germany, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Lithuania are partners. The implementation of a systematic municipal energy management (MEM) contributes greatly to long-term energy savings and a sustainable facility management. It is planned the project to be a pilot one and to be for the implementation of a MEM in order to gather experience with participating municipalities. Central project goals are capacity development and transnational networking through: transnational exchange of know-how and coaching; revealing the benefits of MEM for municipalities and developing new and innovative ways to implement and finance MEM. The project is developed under EUKI Program.
