SOFENA and WWF-Bulgaria participated on the 6th edition of the EUKICON.
180 participants from more than 20 European countries came together for the #EUKICON26 in Berlin to discuss how to double down on climate action in the period 19-20 May 2026.
Europe is facing growing challenges in upholding its climate ambition amid shifting political, social, and economic realities.
EUKI BrightRoof representatives participaetd actively in the discussions on these topics and expressed readiness to work for overcoming this challenge. EUKI program is exactly the right initiative for this and Brussels is following it with great interest.
Through workshops and networking, the participants exchanged ideas on: tackling climate scepticism, reducing methane emissions, enabling 15-minute cities, and advancing a just energy transition.
The 2-day conference gave us ispirations and new ideas on how to strengthen the process of photovoltaic installations activities included in our project, so the municipalities in Bulgaria and Greece to gain practical tools to deploy rooftop solar on public buildings.
The expected impacts under the project are:
✓ Policy recommendations for national implementation
✓ Municipal capacity strengthened
✓ Practical guidance documents
✓ Pilot feasibility studies completed.
